Hosted by Ty Burhoe, this mini documentary series introduces Sasaki Yoshie-san, one of the true treasures of Tono. She and her husband revived this beautiful tradition in 1985 after it had died out over a hundred years earlier. Their love and dedication to this art form is the only reason we are able to enjoy this amazing tradition today. We hope you will take some time to watch and take in, this heart warming and inspiring story about a woman who lives down the street from us, yet is really a worlds treasure holding the last knowledge of a wondrous, yet fading tradition.
